Add AI features to your own app

Use the built-in Evonx AI gateway so your published app can call AI with managed quotas.

Your app's users need AI too — a job summary on the invoice, a portal assistant that answers from your own data. You do not paste a provider key into chat. Evonx stores secrets and can inject an in-app AI gateway metered on your workspace credits.

The path

  1. Describe the feature in an Evolution Thread: who sees it, when it runs, what it must never invent (prices, legal claims).

  2. On the project, open Settings and the secrets card. Enable Evonx AI for the app when the platform offers the toggle. Add any other provider keys the feature still needs under project secrets — development and live separately.

  3. Preview the flow. Confirm the model is not leaking secrets into the UI.

  4. Publish. Watch usage so in-app calls do not surprise you at the monthly boundary — see Fair use & limits.
