Getting around

Pick the mode that suits the journey

Short hops, long commutes and last miles each have a faster option than the car.

Row of shared city bikes docked on a pavement

City bikes at 112 docks

The first 30 minutes are free with any pass, so a bike covers the last kilometre from the metro. Docks show how many bikes and empty spaces are left before you arrive.

Metro train arriving at a station platform

Driverless metro, every three minutes

Trains arrive without a timetable to memorise. Platform screen doors, step-free access and real-time carriage loads make rush hour calmer than it used to be.

Modern electric city bus on an urban street

Electric buses on every new route

Our fleet of 190 battery buses charges overnight at the Amager depot. They run quietly through residential streets and reach the neighbourhoods rails do not.

Riders ask

Where do I validate my ticket?

Tap your card or phone on the yellow reader at the stop or on board. Metro stations have gates, so keep your ticket handy.

What if my train is cancelled?

Your ticket stays valid on the next service of any line, and a delay of 30 minutes or more earns a refund request link in the app.

Can I bring a bicycle?

Bikes travel free on metro and trams outside peak hours and in the dedicated carriages at all times.

Is there a lost property office?

Yes, at Central Station. You can search the database online and arrange collection or delivery.
