Everything a household decision touches

We organise the work around the questions families really ask: can we afford this, are we covered, and what happens if one of us is not here.

The scope of the retainer

Six areas we plan together

Each area has an owner on our side and a date on your calendar, so nothing waits for somebody to remember it.

Cash flow and savings

A monthly map of income, bills and goals that shows which account should receive each extra dollar and why.

Investment policy

A written policy statement sets target mixes and rebalancing bands, so decisions during a bad month follow rules you agreed to in a calm one.

Risk and insurance

Life, disability, umbrella and long-term care reviewed against real exposure rather than the number an agent finds comfortable.

Education funding

Savings targets for each child, plus honest guidance on loans, scholarships and the trade-off against your own retirement.

Work benefits

Open enrolment choices, equity grants, deferred compensation and pension elections explained before the deadline rather than after it.

Estate coordination

We check titling and beneficiaries, prepare questions for your attorney and keep a one-page emergency guide your family can find.

The planning calendar

  1. 01

    January: reset

Tax estimate, contribution plan and a refreshed cash-flow map for the year ahead.

  2. 02

    April: review

Filing check with your accountant and a mid-year look at goals that moved.

  3. 03

    July: stress test

Market, income and health what-ifs run against the plan, with notes on what we would change.

  4. 04

    October: prepare

Benefit elections, year-end gifts, charitable giving and loss harvesting where it truly helps.

Scope questions we hear most

Do you manage investments or only advise?

Both. Clients on Household and Legacy tiers let us place trades inside their own custodian accounts; Foundation clients receive recommendations and place trades themselves.

Will you work with our existing accountant and attorney?

Yes, and we prefer it. Our job is to make their work easier by sending organised numbers before each meeting.

Do you help with debt or only wealth?

We plan the whole balance sheet. Paying off a high-rate loan often beats any investment, and we will show the maths side by side.

Not sure which area comes first?

Most households start with cash flow and insurance, then add investments. We will help you sequence the work during the intro call.
