Cash flow and tax map
Each January we rebuild your cash-flow map, estimate the year's tax bill and decide which account gets the next dollar, so April holds no surprises.
Halloran Reed Planning is a small fiduciary practice that sits down with families every quarter to line up savings, taxes, insurance, college and retirement on a single page. You pay a flat monthly retainer. Nobody here is ever paid to sell you a product.
Intro calls run thirty minutes and cost nothing.

Most families do not need a clever fund. They need someone to notice that the insurance renewal, the bonus and the college deadline all land in the same quarter.

Each January we rebuild your cash-flow map, estimate the year's tax bill and decide which account gets the next dollar, so April holds no surprises.

Seven-year-old twins and a mortgage that just reset? We model education savings next to everything else instead of treating a 529 as a separate project.
We read your life, disability and umbrella policies line by line, then tell you what to drop, what to keep and what is missing. We do not sell a single policy.
Low-cost, diversified portfolios are rebalanced on a written schedule, with a one-page letter every quarter explaining what moved and why.
Beneficiaries, powers of attorney and trust funding are checked against your plan, then handed to your attorney with a clear cover note.
Thirty minutes about what keeps you up at night, who else is involved, and whether our retainer fits your situation. If it does not, we say so.
You share account statements, pay stubs and last year's return through a secure folder. Maren builds the first cash-flow map before we meet again.
In week six we walk through a written plan of about fifteen pages, with three decisions flagged for you and a date next to each one.
From then on you get a short agenda, a progress letter and a standing meeting. Between meetings, email gets a human reply within one business day.
“They found an old disability policy that would have paid a third of what we thought. Fixing it took one phone call and cost less than our cable bill.”
“The quarterly letter is one page and I actually read it. For the first time I can tell my spouse where our bonus is going before it arrives.”
“When Dad passed, Maren already had the beneficiary list, the attorney's number and a checklist. We were organised on the hardest week of our lives.”

Yes. We act in your interest on every recommendation, and we are paid only by your retainer. Our disclosure document is sent before you sign anything.
No. Your accounts stay at an independent custodian in your name. We have trading permission, never the ability to move cash anywhere but back to you.
Then the Foundation tier is probably enough, and we will tell you if a one-time plan review would serve you better than a retainer.
Please do. Many of our best outcomes come from a thirty-minute call with your CPA before a big decision, and we schedule those at no extra charge.
We reread the plan with you before touching the portfolio. Most of the time the answer is nothing, and we put the reasoning in writing so it is easy to check.
Tell us who is in your household and what decision is coming up. We will reply within a business day with two times that suit you.
