Enrolment & intake

Start with a short intake before you pick a class time.

Every new handler completes a five-minute intake so we can match your dog to the right course, arena and trainer. Observers are welcome any evening — phone first so we know you are coming.

Arena desk: +1 (403) 555-0148 · Classes Mon–Fri 17:30–20:30, Sat 09:00–13:00.

What the intake covers

  1. 01

    Age and vaccination

Puppies need their first jabs; older dogs need a current rabies date before they step on the arena floor.

  2. 02

    Goals in plain language

Recall at the park, door manners, reactivity on lead — we use your words to suggest puppy, manners or reactive workshops.

  3. 03

    Prior training and triggers

Tell us what worked, what failed and what sets your dog off, so we do not repeat exercises that already stressed them.

  4. 04

    A trainer calls you back

Within two working days you get a course recommendation, a start date and a link to hold a place in the timetable.

Tell us about your team

One form per dog. If you are enrolling two dogs from the same home, submit once and list both in the notes.

When to phone before enrolling

My dog has bitten a person or another dog

Phone us. We may book a private assessment before any group class, and we can coordinate with your vet.

Can I watch a class before I pay?

Yes. Observers are welcome any evening. Call the desk so we can greet you at the door and find a quiet spot.

What if my puppy is shy?

Note it on the intake. We often start shy puppies in a smaller group or the first slot of the evening when the arena is quietest.

Before the first class

What to bring

Vaccination record

A copy from your vet that shows distemper, parvovirus and rabies dates for dogs over four months.

Soft treats

Pea-sized pieces of chicken or cheese work best. Bring more than you think you will need.

A hungry dog

Feed a light meal, not a full one, so your dog is keen to work for rewards.
