The threshing barn
Oak beams, lime-washed walls and room for 120 at long tables or 180 standing. The great doors open onto the orchard on summer evenings.
We have hosted weddings since the old dairy was restored, and we still take only one celebration each weekend. You have the house, the walled garden, the threshing barn and eleven bedrooms from Friday lunchtime until Sunday brunch, with our own events team looking after every hour of it.
Viewings every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
Three spaces within a short walk of each other, so guests follow the day on foot instead of waiting for a coach.

Our licensed outdoor ceremony space, with a covered loggia for ninety guests if the sky turns grey.

A smaller candlelit room with its own bar, used for rehearsal dinners of forty and the Sunday brunch.
Eleven bedrooms for the two of you, your families and the wedding party, included in every weekend package.

Walk the estate with Harriet from our events team. A viewing takes about an hour and ends with tea in the dairy.
“Having the house for the whole weekend meant our families actually got to know each other. Brunch in the dairy on Sunday was my dad's favourite part.”
“We were nervous about a barn in December. It was warm and candlelit, and the fires were lit long before anyone arrived.”
“Harriet answered every email within a day for fourteen months, including the one I sent at midnight about the table plan.”
We work with four approved caterers who know the barn kitchen. Others are welcome after a kitchen visit and a £450 site fee.
Music stops at midnight in the barn; the house bar stays open for residents until one.
Biodegradable petal confetti outdoors and sparklers on the gravel drive, both with a member of our team present.
We hold rooms at three inns within six miles and send you the booking codes once your date is confirmed.
The barn, dairy and garden paths are step-free, and two ground-floor bedrooms have accessible bathrooms.
