Work

The brief, the problem and what we built.

A good event starts with one awkward constraint. Here are four recent ones, written up with each client's permission and with the numbers they were happy to share.

Evening event under string lights

Four recent events

Garden tables under lights

Orchard anniversary dinner

The Okafor family wanted their parents' fiftieth in the pecan orchard where they married. No road, no power, a forecast of storms. We laid a gravel path, brought two silent generators and kept a tent crew on standby until nine.

Planners reviewing the show script

Harbor Home battery premiere

Four hundred guests on a lawn with a pop-up cinema screen, supplier demo tents and three timed press walk-throughs. We built a run-of-show that kept the reveal under eight minutes and still left time for questions.

Ballroom tables under chandeliers

Children's fund winter gala

A ballroom for 520 with a live auction and a paddle raise. Shortening the programme by twenty minutes and moving the raise before dessert helped the night bring in a record total.

Garden lunch with white lilies

Buyers' garden lunch

Brightwell Tea invited sixty wholesale buyers to a lunch built around tasting flights. Small tables, a tasting card at every seat and a quiet ordering corner led to fourteen new stockists that month.

What is your awkward constraint?

The odd venue, the short timeline or the guest list that keeps growing is usually where we start.
