Audio, cameras and a repair bench · Portland, Oregon

Gear that survives a Tuesday session.

Ferrite Row is a 2,400-square-foot shop on SE Ankeny where podcasters, wedding shooters and bedroom producers buy interfaces, lenses and refurbished laptops from people who use them. Spec sheets sit on the counter, the soldering bench runs in plain view, and every returned unit is re-tested before it goes back on the wall.

Demo wall open until nine on weeknights.

Behind the counter

Four reasons people drive across the river

We would rather lose a sale than send you home with the wrong cable, so most conversations here start with what you already own.

Technician soldering a circuit board

A repair bench you can watch

Cracked USB-C ports, dead headphone jacks and tired capacitors get fixed in the open. You get a written quote before the iron is warm, and the median job is back in your hands within two days.

Over-ear headphones on a wooden shelf

Forty headphones and a quiet booth

The wall holds forty pairs from forty-nine dollars to nine hundred. Sit in the listening booth with the same reference playlist we use on every unit, then decide.

Customer comparing smartphone screens

Screens side by side

Refurbished phones and tablets sit next to their new siblings with battery-health readouts printed on the tag, so you can see what the discount actually buys.

Vintage televisions and receivers in the back room

Vintage receivers, revived

The back room restores 1970s receivers and tube-era monitors for retro rigs. Each one leaves with a service log taped inside the lid and a ninety-day bench warranty.

Heard at the counter

“I walked in with a crackling interface and walked out with a $6 part, a fixed jack and zero upsell. I now buy every cable here.”
T. ReyesPodcast producer
“They let me shoot test frames on three bodies against my own card before I committed. Nobody has ever offered me that.”

“The refurbished laptop arrived with a printed battery report and a note from the tech who tested it.”

Returns, repairs and warranties

How long do I have to return something?

Thirty days for new items in original packaging, fourteen for opened cameras and lenses. Refurbished gear carries the ninety-day bench warranty instead.

Do you price-match online shops?

We match any in-stock authorized dealer on new gear, with a screenshot. We do not match marketplace sellers or grey imports.

Can I get a repair quote without leaving the unit?

Send photos and the model number through the contact page. Most quotes come back the same afternoon, and the diagnostic fee is waived if you proceed.

Do you buy used gear?

Yes. Bring it in on a Wednesday or Saturday, and the bench tests it while you wait. Offers are paid by check or store credit with a ten percent bonus.

Bring the cable that keeps failing.

Book a thirty-minute slot at the bench and we will test it, tell you what is wrong, and quote the fix on the spot.
