Certified organic · 42 acres · Wisconsin River valley

Vegetables with a harvest date, not a warehouse code.

Riverbend Organics grows for 380 households on heavy silt loam outside Dodgeville. Every box lists the field block, the morning it was picked and the crew who washed it. We do not buy produce to fill gaps, and we publish our soil tests every spring.

Certified organic since 2011. Pickup or doorstep delivery within 35 miles.

A week at Riverbend

We grow 68 crops on a ten-year rotation. Here is what happens before your name is on the label.

Fields mapped to the box

Each crop block has a code. Your weekly email shows which beds supplied your tomatoes, greens and roots so you can trace flavour back to weather and cover crops.

Washed in well water, packed cold

Harvest starts at 5 a.m. Produce moves through a dunk tank, spins dry and rests in a 38 °F cooler before packing. Nothing sits on a loading dock.

Share questions

What if we travel for a week?

Pause up to three weeks per season. Credit rolls to a double share when you return or you can donate the box to the community fridge.

Do you grow everything in the box?

Yes for vegetables. Apples and berries come from partner orchards within 20 miles, labelled separately.

Is the farm certified organic?

We have been MOSES-certified organic since 2011. Certificates are linked in the footer.

Can I split a share with a friend?

Yes. Add a second pickup name in your profile and we will pack one combined box.

Are visits open to the public?

Member events are listed in your portal. Two open farm days in May welcome non-members with tickets.
