The Kitefold Stunt 2 is a dual-line sport kite with a carbon frame that collapses into a tube the length of a rolled umbrella. Pull the cord, snap three joints and you are flying in ninety seconds, then pack it away before the wind shifts. We designed it on a beach in Oregon after one too many kites snapped in the back seat of a car, and we are taking preorders to fund the first thousand.
Charged now, shipped in order of purchase, and refunded in full if we miss the estimated date by more than sixty days.

We would rather tell you the dates now than surprise you later, so here is the plan with the buffers we have built in.
Your card is charged, you receive a numbered receipt and the colour you chose is set aside in the first production batch.
The hinge moulds and sail patterns are signed off by our factory partner, and we publish photos of the first moulded parts.
Pilots in Oregon, Portugal and New Zealand fly the final batch and sign each frame before it goes into a box.
Shipping starts in preorder order, and you receive a tracking message the day your kite is handed to the carrier.

We rebuilt every part of a classic stunt kite so that nothing in the bag is longer than your forearm.

Carbon spars are joined by spring-loaded hinges that lock with an audible click and release with a squeeze, with no tools and no lost pins.

Ripstop nylon with a silicone finish dries in minutes and keeps its colour after a full summer of sun and spray.

Moulded foam grips and a wrist loop sit steady in a cold hand and a wet hand, and the line spools lock without twisting.

Thirty-eight centimetres long and weighing less than a litre of water. The tube clips to a bicycle frame or the side of a backpack.

A tuned bridle keeps the kite stable from six to thirty-five kilometres per hour, which covers most afternoons and a few evenings.
“I carried the prototype on a three-week trip around Portugal. It spent more time on cliffs than in my bag, and I have never been so glad to pack so little.”
“My son has broken three kites on the school bus. The tube survived a full term of being sat on and the kite inside came out flying.”
“I teach kite flying to teenagers on a windy field. The bridle forgives mistakes in a way that keeps beginners smiling.”
