Music school — Nashville, Berry Hill

Start on a Tuesday, play on a stage by spring.

Harmony Row Conservatory teaches guitar, piano, violin and voice in eight sound-treated studios a few minutes from Music Row. Teachers are gigging session players and symphony section leaders who remember what chord changes feel like when you are ten, or fifty. Every student performs at least once a term.

Parents and beginners ask

Do we need to own an instrument before the first lesson?

Not for the trial. We lend guitars, violins and a keyboard for the first month, and our rental partner can ship a student instrument the same week.

What is the youngest age you teach?

Violin from age four, piano from five, voice from eight, guitar from seven. Younger children can join the family sing-along on Saturdays.

How much should my child practise?

Fifteen minutes on most days beats one long session. Teachers send a short practice plan after every lesson.
