Meditation center · Portland

Quiet rooms for busy minds.

Stillpoint Hall offers guided sits, breathwork, and silent mornings in a cedar-lined hall with cushions, chairs, and a headphone-free policy. Teachers publish themes each week so newcomers know what to expect before they arrive. Evenings include short walking meditations in the garden room when weather allows, and weekday lunch sits stay twenty minutes so downtown workers can return to their desks without rushing. Greeters meet you at the door, explain where to store shoes, and point out the chair row if standing is uncomfortable. Membership is optional—most people drop in with a suggested donation and stay for tea afterward when they want company without small talk.

How we practice

Cushions and chairs arranged in Stillpoint Hall before a guided sit.

Guided sits

Twenty- and forty-minute sessions with clear cues for posture, breath, and closing. Teachers name the anchor—breath, body scan, or metta—before the bell so you can follow along without guessing.

Chairs welcome

We stock lumbar supports and blankets so knees are never the price of entry. Wall chairs stay in the back row; staff help you set height and footrests before the sit begins.

Garden room windows open for walking meditation on dry evenings.

Silent mornings

Sunday dawns are device-free with tea served afterward in the garden room. Windows stay cracked for fresh air; heaters warm the hall before the first arrivals at 7:45.
