Sunny Nest Daycare cares for infants through pre-K in a converted craftsman home in Sellwood. Ratios stay below state maximums, lead teachers hold Early Childhood Education credentials, and parents receive a photo digest by 4 p.m. every day — not a live stream, just honest snapshots of naps, snacks and finger-paint victories.
All staff CPR and first-aid certified; background checks renewed annually.

What each room focuses on
Children move up when they are ready, not only by birthday. Transitions include a two-week overlap with the receiving teacher.
Wobbler explorers
Low shelves, push carts and language modeling at snack. We practice sippy cups, hand washing and putting toys in bins before transitions.
Family-style meals
Vegetarian-friendly menus posted monthly. Allergies logged in the app; no outside food except breast milk or medical needs.
Rest that respects rhythms
Cots for toddlers, pack-and-play options for infants. Quiet lullabies on a Bluetooth speaker; lights dim but not pitch black.
Outdoor yard
Covered patio for rain days, sandbox with a lid, and a mud kitchen rinsed nightly. Sunscreen applied with parent permission on file.
Enrollment fees
Tuition includes organic snacks, diapers for infants (parent choice brand), and the daily photo digest. A 10% sibling discount applies.

Questions families ask on tours
Do you live-stream classrooms?
No. We send still photos and short notes through the parent app by 4 p.m. Live video creates privacy issues we avoid.
What is your sick policy?
Fever-free for 24 hours without medication. We follow Oregon child care exclusion guidelines and notify families of contagious alerts.
Can we visit unannounced?
Parents on the roster may drop in during business hours. Grandparents need a signed authorization on file.
How do waitlists work?
We offer spots in order of deposit date. Deposits are refundable if we cannot place within 90 days of your target start.
