Shades swatched on real skin
Lip colors and liners are laid out by undertone, not by brand, and you try them on the back of your hand, your jaw and your lip. No testers that fifty people have touched.
Oleander Beauty Bar is a sunlit shop on South Congress where a working makeup artist swatches your foundation on three places before you buy, then pours a skincare serum into the bottle you brought from home. Lipsticks click into refillable metal cases, and shades never leave the range because a season ended.
Color matching is free and takes twenty minutes.

We built the shop around the questions customers used to ask at department-store counters and never got an honest answer to.

Bring any dropper bottle and we fill it with vitamin C, niacinamide or hyaluronic serum by the milliliter. The glass lasts years, and refills cost a third less than a new bottle.

Every purchase over thirty dollars includes a seat at the mirror with a working artist who teaches you to blend, set and fix your own face, not hers.

The brushed-metal case is a one-time purchase. Slide in a new bullet when the color is gone and recycle the plastic tray at the counter.
Six favorites from the staff drawer. Prices are in US dollars and every item has a refill or recycling plan.

“Four counters had told me I was a shade I definitely was not. Here they swatched three places and found the match in under ten minutes.”
“I refill the same amber bottle every six weeks. It costs less, and I stopped throwing away glass.”
“The artist taught me to blend with my fingers and I have not touched a sponge since. That lesson was worth the lipstick.”

Come back for a free re-match whenever your skin shifts. We keep your last swatch record, so a return trip takes about five minutes.
Every formula is fragrance-free except the clearly labeled perfumed range, and we list full ingredients on the shelf card, not only on the box.
Return any empty case, jar or tube to the counter and take fifteen percent off your next refill. We send the plastic to a facility that handles cosmetics.
No. Every house we carry is certified cruelty-free, and we drop a line the moment a maker loses its certification.
A color match takes twenty minutes and ends with a printed card of your shades. Walk-ins are welcome, and booked slots never wait.
