Basketball academy · Baltimore

Handle pressure before the lights come on.

Harbor Hoops Lab is a year-round skills academy on the Inner Harbor with two hardwood floors, shot-tracking rims and film review every Friday. Players train in pods of six so coaches can correct footwork, not yell across a crowded gym.

Player pathway

  1. 01

    Evaluation

Ball-handling, shooting form and defensive stance scored on a simple rubric you take home.

  2. 02

    Foundations pod

Ages 9–12 focus on weak-hand dribbling, close-out footwork and spacing in 3v3.

  3. 03

    Competitive pod

Middle school players add pick-and-roll reads, transition defense and free-throw routines.

  4. 04

    College prep

High schoolers get HUDL uploads, NCAA eligibility checklists, invite-only showcase scrimmages and quarterly parent meetings so recruiting questions never land in a group chat at midnight.

Questions parents ask

Do you field AAU teams?

We partner with local AAU clubs for summer travel but focus on skill pods during the school year.

What shoes are allowed?

Indoor shoes only — no black marks on hardwood. We sell grip wipes at the desk.

Can siblings share a membership?

Each player needs their own pod placement; we offer a 10% sibling discount on tuition.

How do shot-tracking rims work?

Each regulation hoop logs makes, attempts and shot arc during open gym. Coaches review heat maps with players on Film Friday without sharing data outside the academy.

Is parking available on game nights?

The Light Street garage validates two hours when you scan your lesson QR at the front desk. Street meters are free after 18:00 on weekdays.
