# Test on your phone

Scan a QR code to open your running preview on a mobile device.

Desktop previews hide the problems thumbs actually hit: tiny buttons, wide
tables, forms that fight a phone keyboard. Every running web preview has a **QR
code** in the Preview Hub — scan it and the same isolated app opens on your
phone.

## Scan and use it

1. Start the web preview in the [Preview Hub](/docs/preview-and-debug/preview-hub)
   and wait until it is ready.

2. Open the **QR** panel on that preview card and scan it with the phone camera.
   You can also copy the preview URL and send it to yourself.

3. Use the app as staff or customers would: one hand, small screen, mobile data.
   Note what breaks, then [annotate](/docs/preview-and-debug/annotate-preview) or
   describe it in chat.

The URL is a real address on the public internet, so a colleague can open it too
— no Evonx account required. That makes a short feedback session possible before
anything is published.

> **Warning**
> Idle previews are stopped automatically, so yesterday's QR may be dead today.
> Share for a session, not as a lasting link — lasting links are
> [publishing](/docs/launch/publish-to-evonx). Keep real customer data out of
> preview sessions.
